McGoldrick’s gold rush & Feeney’s points flourish ensures St. John’s victory.


St.John’s U-9’s gained their second win in the U-9 City Leagues with a narrow but deserved victory over a St. Michael’s side that pushed the Carraroe club all the way in Scarden .

In another all-round team performance it was Jack Kelly who opened the scoring however St. Michael’s were on St. John’s coat tails until the closing stages. St John’s found an extra gear towards the end and pulled away with goals from the versatile Rachel McCormack her third in two games and Adam Feeney who had an excellent game throughout contributing handsomely with four expertly taken points.

Johnny Stenson Cycle

The Johnny Stenson Cycle a leisure cycling event takes place on Saturday, October 3rd. Sponsored by E.J.’s Menswear, the event is a fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Home in Uganda.

The route of 120 kms starts at finishes at St. John’s G.A.A.Club, Stenson Park, Carraroe.
