Double celebration in Cleveragh for U-12's

St John’s U-12’s return to winning ways

U-12 Fl Div 4 Rd 3: St. John’s 0-19 Tubbercurry/Cloonacool 0-9

Following last week’s disappointing result to Eastern Harps St.John’s U-12 side hit back with a vengeance returning to winning ways with a comprehensive O-19 to O-9 victory over the visitors Tubbercurry/Cloonacool in Cleveragh last evening
.
The seeds for this victory was set in the first two quarters with excellent link up play between the midfields and forwards. Cormac Roddy & Brendan Korniychuk great attacking running displays from midfield meant that the likes of Liam Lee & Ciaran Quinn’s impeccable finishing helped to put St.John’s on the road to a fully deserved win.
Tubbercurry came back strongly in third quarter and closed the gap to within three points at one stage. However St.John’s managed to weather the storm and pulled away for a deserved victory in the end adding a number of well executed scores. Both sides played attractive football and great skills were on show. A result that will have pleased managers Gerry Quinn & Michael Hegarty

Best for St Johns on the night were Cormac Roddy, James Darwin, Ciaran Quinn and Ray Mc Carney.

It was a case of double celebration as the Club’s U-12 Div 1 side also defeated Tubbercurry 0-10 to 0-9 last evening.
