Fureys Coaches Sponsored SFL Division 3: St. John’s 0-9 Eastern Harps 3-11

On Sunday the Junior team played Eastern Harps at home in Stenson Park in Round 3 of the Division 3 league.

In an even contest Eastern Harps got two quick goals just before half time that changed the complexion of the game. St. John’s scorers in the first half were Keelan Kelly, Fiachra Mooney & Ian Rossitor.

Harps went into the interval leading 2-4 to St. John’s 0-3

Early in the second half St. John’s laid siege to the Eastern Harps goals and a brace of points from Ian Rossitor & Fiachra Mooney reduced the Eastern Harps advantage. However, in the end Harps pulled away to record a 3-11 to 0-9 win.

The St.John’s team on duty was Noel Hynes, Cian Haugh, Jamie McGovern, Andrew Mitchell, Terry Farrelly, Tommy Kelly, Lee Cawley, Conor Sweeney, Conor Greene, Kieran Clancy, Jamie Grehan, Keelan Kelly, Cathal Jordan, Fiachra Mooney and Ian Rossiter.

Next up for St. John’s is an away fixture against near town neighbours and great rivals St. Mary’s in a fortnight’s time.
