Mixed results for Senior teams but Minors impress

St.John’s Club notes:

Mixed results for Senior teams but Minors hugely impressive
Weekend’s results
Fureys Coaches Senior Football League Division 2
St John's 1-13 Owenmore Gaels 0-1
Fureys Coaches Senior Football League Division 1
 St John's 0-5 Tubbercurry 0-10
Minor League:
St. John’s 10-10 Owenmore Gaels 3-9

St John’s scored a notable double over neighbours Owenmore Gaels at the weekend. In the Fureys Coaches sponsored Senior leagues the St.John’s  side had a good win over the Gaels on Saturday the Gaels only managing to register 1 point over the sixty minutes.
On Sunday in Stenson Park Tubbercurry were the visitors but St. John’s fell to a stronger Tubbercurry side.
The Minors display was most encouraging  of the weekend and with the final score resembling more like a cricket score than a football match. The display will have given great encouragement to joint Minor Managers Fergal Henry & Joe Brehan as they prepare for their next match versus Coolera/Strandhill on Tuesday April 8th next.

Report
St.John’s blow Gaels away

Our next game is at home in Stenson Park against Coolera / Strandhill with a throw in time of 6.30pm on Tuesday 8th April.
